Partnership Preview: Becoming a Powered by Compass School

This event is intended for potential partnering schools who are interested in becoming certified Powered by Compass schools through a 3-year training and credentialing program to implement Valor's comprehensive human development model for students and staff, called The Compass.

Event Overview

Over the course of the two days, you will have an opportunity to meet our Leadership Coaches; learn about The Compass, our approach to a comprehensive human development model in schools; internalize the conditions for success in implementing the model, and gain a clear preview of what a 3-year partnership with us looks like in order to earn your Powered by Compass credential and fully implement the model in your school.

Event Attendance Requirements

For any schools interested in applying for Compass Camp, we require the school principal to attend the full two-day event. In order to ensure that the school has adequate network or district support to commit to a 3-year credentialing and training process, we require at least one network/district-level leader to also attend the full two-day event. (Existing network/district partnerships may waive this requirement. Please contact Taryn Sprayberry at tsprayberry@valorcollegiate.org if you are unsure.)

In addition to the required attendees, you may bring 2 additional school leaders (AP/Dean/Director and Teacher Leader roles).

Our team will be taking attendance throughout the two days to ensure the necessary leaders are present during the full two days. 

Your registration for this event is contingent upon approval from our Director of Strategic Partnerships, Taryn Sprayberry.
