TRAVEL & PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS

🕜  Arrival & Departure Times:  See the agenda for specific start and end times. If you are flying, please book flights that allow you to be fully present for all sessions. We are about 10 miles from the airport (it is typically a 15 - 30 minutes drive depending on traffic), so please book your flights accordingly.

🏫  Location: All sessions will take place at the Valor Compass Center which is located at 4523 Nolensville Pk, Nashville, TN 37211.

⚪  Engagement & Presence: As you prepare for this event please let your colleagues know that you will not be accessible during core sessions. This is an active training experience and requires your full attunement to maximize learning.  Please note that during sessions, all participants are directed to put personal devices such as phones and laptops away to avoid distractions and to be fully "dropped-in" and present.

🏨  Local Lodging: When planning your travel, please consider that the Compass Center is located in the South Nashville neighborhood and close to Brentwood, TN. If you are looking for specific local recommendations as you plan your trip, please review our Visitor Guide

🍽️  Meals: We will provide breakfast, coffee, snacks/drinks, and lunch on all 3 days of the training. Please bring a refillable bottle for water. You will be on your own for dinner each evening, please review our Visitor Guide for recommendations.

👫 Dress code: The attire for this event is casual. We want you to feel comfortable throughout the event so dress for a sense of ease. The Compass Center can get chilly, so you might want to bring an extra layer.

🚗  Daily Travel to the Compass Center: Once in Nashville if you are relying on Uber/Lyft we recommend pre-scheduling your rides to ensure you arrive on time each day with plenty of time for breakfast! Arrival traffic at the schools is heaviest from 7:15 - 7:55am.

To allow for tech free sharing of your work please bring your completed badge before traveling to Nashville.

Middle & Elementary Schools: Complete the Life Story 2.0 Identity Deck badge (6th grade, Noble Purpose).  Please review the entire badge to support your internalization, but you only need to complete pages 8-11 and bring your final identity deck cards to Nashville on day 1. To help us keep Circle tech free we ask that you please use index cards for this Badge instead of completing it digitally and ensure those are ready to share for practice on Wednesday 10/1

High Schools: Please complete the Life Story 6.0: My Best Self badge (10th Grade, Noble Purpose)

  • Note:  Completing this badge involves interviewing two individuals who know you well.
