Circle 101 is our core training for Compass Circle facilitators.
All of our partner schools who are currently in the "Implementation Phase" of Compass Camp may send up to 2 faculty members to Circle 101 in order to receive facilitation training directly from Valor, engaging in rigorous facilitation practice alongside teachers, faculty, and school leaders from other partner schools from around the country.
This 3-day training will provide participants with the skills to be an effective Compass Circle facilitator, for both students and faculty. Perhaps even more powerful than this skill set, the experience of deeply engaging in authentic work in the Compass model is one of transformational connection. By attuning to other educators who share the same noble purpose of providing equitable and just opportunities for all students - and by grounding yourself in the experience of being seen and known by others who can validate the profound challenges we all face as we live out that purpose - you will find yourself leaning into vulnerability in unexpected way and being rewarded by renewed courage that can only come from such vulnerability.
