2ND ANNUAL CLF RETREAT
JUNE 30 - JULY 3 2026
Bailey, CO
TRAVEL & PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS
🚗TRAVEL & PLANNING GUIDELINES
As you plan your travel, please keep the following in mind:
-
Ride Share (e.g., Uber, Lyft) is not an option for getting to & from Lone Rock.
-
For those flying into Denver International Airport, we will provide a motorcoach on Tuesday from the airport to Lone Rock. This motorcoach will depart from the airport at 2:00pm. On Friday the motorcoach will leave Lone Rock at 12:30pm, arriving back at the airport at approximately 2:15pm.
-
Therefore, your Tuesday arrival flight into Denver International Airport must be scheduled to land no later than 1:00pm. And your Friday departure flight from Denver must be scheduled to depart no earlier than 4:00pm.
-
For those who live in the Denver area, you may meet us at the airport to join the motorcoach. Or you may drive yourself to Lone Rock. For those driving, we encourage you to carpool - which we will help to arrange once you have purchased your tickets. Lone Rock is located at 64797 US Hwy 285, Bailey, CO 80421. Individuals driving will receive direct communication from Lone Rock with directions and a gate code on the day of arrival.
🌤️ WEATHER IN COLORADO
Colorado in late June/early July offers warm, sunny days (typically 75–85°F / 24–29°C) and cool evenings (dropping into the 50s°F / 10–15°C or lower). Because of the dry mountain climate, it’s important to dress in layers and bring sun protection—the UV index is higher at elevation. Afternoon thunderstorms are also common, so pack a light rain layer just in case.
🏔️ PREPARING FOR HIGH ALTITUDE (LONE ROCK IS ~7,000 FT)
Altitude is a teacher. It reminds us to breathe deeper, move slower, and listen to our bodies.
If you're coming from lower elevations, the thinner air and lower oxygen levels may impact your energy and hydration. Here are some tips to help you adjust with care:
💧 HYDRATION IS KEY
-
Start hydrating 2–3 days before travel.
-
Drink plenty of water during the retreat (bring a reusable bottle!).
-
Limit alcohol and caffeine intake, especially during the first day.
⚡ ELECTROLYTES MATTER
-
You may want to bring electrolyte tablets or powder (e.g., LMNT, Nuun, Liquid I.V., coconut water powder).
-
Sip throughout the day to maintain your body’s mineral balance.
🧘♀️ MOVE MINDFULLY
-
Take it slow the first 12-24 hours.
-
Rest when needed, and avoid overexertion.
-
Light stretching or gentle walks can help circulation and acclimation.
🥗 NOURISH WISELY
-
Eat light, frequent meals. There will be snacks provided for you at the retreat center, but please make sure to eat well at the airport before taking the shuttle as dinner will be later in the evening.
-
Choose whole foods when possible to support digestion and energy.
🧠 PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BODY
-
Headaches, fatigue, and shortness of breath can happen.
-
Let a team leader know if you feel unwell—we’re in this together.
